Dr. Beken has performed over ten thousand surgeries as an Eye Diseases Specialist. As a result of this process, he embarked on a private hospital project in Izmir that will also treat complex diseases and then pioneered the opening of Izmir Medicalpark Hospital and continues his active business life as the chairman of the board of this hospital.

Dr. Beken also focused on nutrition and microbiota. Then, he realized that a medical field called Functional Medicine could be a solution to today's chronic diseases through a holistic approach and completed the Functional Medicine training of the "Functional Medicine Institute", which pioneered this medical model in America. For the last 3 years, Dr. Beken has helped many people around him to solve their chronic conditions. Dr. Beken as the founder of the Functional Medicine and Healthy Living Center in Izmir University of Economics Medicalpark Hospital aims to support the treatment of patients with chronic diseases and whose quality of life is adversely affected, and to ensure that this area is applied effectively and correctly in our country.
